UK Lockdown: Day 180-183

Since we got back from our time in Whitby time has flown by, and while I’m off work I’ve been spending lots of time relaxing and eating in restaurants. In all honesty, I’ve been making the most of the opportunity to be out and about ahead of the potential second lockdown…

On Saturday, Luke and I had a haircut and a wander round the city centre before having a few drinks in the sunshine. Then, on Sunday, I finally got to see my brother Josh. I was so ecstatic to see him, it was so strange, but so beautiful.

It had been six months and a few weeks since I’d last seen him, the longest I’ve ever been apart from my immediate family. Josh has a rare chromosome disorder known only as Trisomy 20Q mosaicism. When he was younger they weren’t even sure if it was the P or the Q part of the chromosome which was affected, genetics are a very complex issue.

I love that smiling face in the background

Later on Sunday, we went out for a meal with my Mum and Luke’s dad. Then yesterday was spent preparing for an interview and having another meal out at the restaurant I work at!

Today has been a whirlwind, from a staff meeting this morning, to a beautiful lunch in the sunshine, and now a relaxed night in with my love.

It’s been a bit of a bonkers day weather wise too; it was boiling (well for September- 22oC) this afternoon in the park. How cute is our little picnic?

And yet, after the sunshine, we’ve got the fire on tonight! Autumn is coming I’d say, and with another full lockdown potentially looming I think many people are starting to panic again. As you can see, I’m trying to be as positive as I can and hold on to the happy things in my life. I hope you manage to do the same.
