After 112 days of being closed, today we reopened the restaurant. For the past week we’ve been deep-cleaning, preparing, ordering new stock and eagerly awaiting the big day. And it came and went in a flash.
Day one made me feel so much more relaxed, our customers were sensible, and we did our best to stay safe, and the management were really supportive and strong.
By mid-afternoon I’d finished my shift and headed off to see my sister. She was settling in well to her new temporary home and getting her first big shop.
Later on, we went to see our Mum and have a catch-up with her. She is also looking to move house so it’s all systems go in the Mennell family.
