UK Lockdown: Day 98

Does anyone find it a little insane that we’ve done nearly 100 days in lockdown? I know I do. 98 days of no regular routine is a bit bonkers* if I’m honest.

As much as I want to go back to ‘normal’ I’m increasingly concerned about the amount of UK towns and cities having to go back to full (or our version of full) lockdown. I’m ready to go back to work and find some semblance of ‘normal’ but I really don’t want to get myself too excited only to be shut away again.

Also, I really think I should be able to see my brother who lives in Supported Living before people go for a pint….

These thoughts aside, today has been lovely. I started the day by finishing my Google Analytics course. Next up, Sarah and I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, and put a load of washing on. Then we treated ourselves to a MacDonald’s lunch because we deserved it!

After lunch we played this awesome new game called Unstable Unicorns. Mum bought Luke it for his birthday and Sarah loves it (she’s also really good at it). Luke has gone to the Post Office so we had some time together to chill.

Later on I met up with two work friends and had a great time catching up with them and feeling more ‘normal’ and like myself again. It was so nice to see them and talk about plans for going back to work, how we were feeling and how lockdown had treated us all! These guys are like family to me and I was so happy to see them.

This evening we video-called Mum and Grandad which is fun, we always have a laugh (even if it is at Grandad turning his camera round and seeing what all the icons mean). Everyone was healthy and keeping positive. Here’s a funny screenshot taken by Sarah.

Now we’re binge-watching Sex Education, and potentially watching Moana. Top day.
