Self Isolation: Day 43

Patience is a virtue, and I’m running out of it fast. The waiting game for Thursday’s update is driving me insane and I can’t wait to find out what plans might soon be put into action. I’m eager to see how the government plans to ease lockdown… and I’m also eager to get paid after almost eight weeks without.

Is anyone else struggling for payment with the furlough scheme? Or is it just my place of work? Who knows.

Anyway, on a happier note, I’m just about to sit down and watch The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, for the first time. LOTR virgin right here… sorry friends.

Today’s been good. I’ve had some quite bad back pain though, which is either down to sleeping funny (whatever that means), getting older, or over-stretching in yoga, but there you go.

The morning was spent with The Big Bang Theory and some… drumroll please… you guessed it, yoga. Then we headed of shopping and had a lovely walk to Hunslet Carr park. A change of scenery was gratefully received, and to be honest, if it wasn’t for yoga and my daily walk I might have gone completely cuckoo by now.

How is everyone managing with curbing boredom and staying sane?

I’ve also painted my nails in some high-class funky patterns and played some online games that I used to play back in high school, so it’s been pretty nostalgic.

We’ve also eaten a distinctive, strange sounding, but absolutely gorgeous meal of corned beef and rice tonight (I’ll give you the recipe tomorrow). It’s sort of a spicy curry sauce but I won’t give anything more than that away. Just trust my judgement.

Hope you’re all staying safe and sane. Happy midweek day for tomorrow!
