It’s day six already… where did the last 144 hours go?
Well, in all honesty most of them were spent sleeping or watching television. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Considering I usually spend about 40 hours a week working, an additional 20 away from my partner and 48 sleeping I guess I’m doing quite well just reflecting and catching up with myself.
I read a blog the other day about the idea that this time should be spent getting to know yourself again. Pretty deep stuff I know. It could prove quite difficult. But, ultimately, we could all do with remembering that we’re really important in our own lives. We are the lead role in our story after all.
Today I sorted through all my t-shirts, holiday clothes, vest tops and underwear. I’ve got them all in drawers they actually fit in now rather than shoved in and breaking the drawer… I had no idea how many clothes I owned.
Luke and I also made a beautiful roast dinner (we forgot the Yorkshire puddings but I wouldn’t have been able to eat them anyway). Traditional roast beef, garlic roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, mashed potato, broccoli and carrots, all with lashings of homemade onion gravy. Perfect.
We went out for a later walk today and only saw two people. This city is officially becoming a ghost town. Are people finally listening? Or is it just because it was later on in the day? Who knows. I just hope people start listening, prevent more deaths and we can all start physically socialising sooner.
Now it’s time for a film, maybe some yoga and then a leftover beef sandwich.
