I’ve decide to start a blog of my 14 day self isolation, it’s not something I’d normally do, but I’m hoping it’ll put a smile on someone’s face and brighten up peoples newsfeeds. Coronavirus is the word on everyone’s lips, so why not join the conversation, right?
Like many people I’d already made the decision to self isolate. And then Boris Johnson made his somewhat lackadaisical statement which means the U.K is in lockdown; apart from shopping for necessities, daily exercise and those who have to work.
So Day One…
I had a looong lie in (it was about 10.30am when I got up) and strolled downstairs in my pjs. I was also wearing my owl hoodie which is absolutely divine (and no one can say it isn’t… I look adorable).
My partner and I watched an episode of Carnival Row (on Amazon Prime at the moment), and ate breakfast. After this I took what seemed like a beautiful long shower, but it was actually only 15 minutes, which I thinks proves that I am always rushing around like crazy!
Next on my agenda was cleaning all the windows and mirrors in the house. They are so shiny now, and I’m wondering how I even looked out of them before… then I deep cleaned the kitchen and put a load of washing on. We both tidied our living space and even put some cushions in front of the window in a nice neat fashion!
Cute cushions by the window
By then it was lunchtime so we sat down for some food and Big Bang Theory. Pretty decent 45 minute break, followed by some more tidying upstairs and then we decided to go for a walk.
When we arrived home we decided on a game of chess… or rather my partner, Luke, tried to teach me, but he was basically playing alone because I don’t have the required skills…
Now it’s time for an evening meal and some movies under a blanket.
What a successful first day. Tune in tomorrow folks! βπΌπ
