Bill’s is a relaxed, contemporary, friendly restaurant for all ages. It offers a range of British classic dishes with modern twists and European and Asian cuisine tied in.
My family and I visited at the end of March for my grandfathers 85th birthday. Our waitress Siobhan was fantastic, she helped with our food choices, offered assistance with my grandfather and helped with my sisters nut allergy.
Our party of seven ordered a range of food from their Fish Pie, Chicken Milanese and steak dishes. The food was a great quality and service was fast and efficient.
The fish pie was packed with flavour and full of fresh fish just falling apart. The chicken Milanese has a flavourful salsa but lacked flavour in its breadcrumbs. Finally the steaks were cooked to perfection with fresh accompaniments and well seasoned fries.
Some of the party opted just for a coffee after the generously sized main courses… but I just had to try the honeycomb and banana cheesecake. I would normally share a rich chocolate dessert but was avoiding chocolate for lent. Who would have thought banana cheesecake could look so pretty?
The team were also taking part in Earth Hour by turning out all lights and opting for candles instead. We weren’t informed of this which was slightly awkward but we still enjoyed our experience with the team at Bill’s.
8/ 10. A lovely evening was had by all.
